Important Information for Customers

Yamaha Motor Pakistan is committed to provide high quality motorcycles to its customers. Even though if any defect appeared in your motorcycle due to some material defect or due to negligence of worker, company should take the responsibility to settle the warranty claim of that defect of motorcycle to keep under the warranty claim policy but very important that the motorcycle should be used in a proper manners, periodic maintenance of motorcycle was done as per schedule and customer is using genuine parts and oil for his motorcycle.

Warranty Period:

Special Warranty (Engine):

This facility can avail till completion of 03 years or 30,000 Kms (Which ever complete first), warranty claim settlement is not possible after the completion of above warranty period.

Normal Warranty (Frame body etc.):

This facility can avail till completion of 01 year or 12,000 Kms (Which ever complete first), warranty claim settlement is not possible after the completion of above warranty period.

Battery & Tyre Warranty:

Warranty of Battery & Tyres can get within 06 Month from Purchase date of motorcycle, after that claim settlement will not possible.

Term & Condition for warranty claim settlement:

  • Owner of motorcycle should bring warranty registration certificate (which is available in warranty hand book) together with Warranty Hand Book.
  • First owner of motorcycle have rights to get warranty claim, 2nd owner can’t avail this warranty claim facility for his motorcycles.
  • It should be maintain motorcycle from Yamaha authorized dealers as per maintenance schedule given on page 8~11 and have to make entry of maintenance record on page 12~13. Otherwise warranty claim will not be entertain or acceptable.
  • Use of Yamaha genuine parts and Yamalube in necessary, if there is evidence of use of non-genuine parts and lube, warranty claim not entain or acceptable.
  • It’s mandatory to fill warranty card of Battery and must have to mentioned purchase date of motorcycle at this card. Customer should have to bring Battery filled warranty card with his motorcycle at the time of settlement of Battery warranty claim.
  • Warranty claim will settle only by repair or replace the defective parts, complete motorcycle or engine will not be replaced.
  • At the time of Warranty Claim settlement, oddo-meter of speedometer must be in working condition, if there is evidence of repair of oddo-meter or in case of speedometer not in working condition then warranty claim will not entertain.

In below mentioned condition Warranty Claim will not acceptable:

  • Warranty claim will not acceptable in case of defects due to weather condition like rusting because of living nearby sea area or defects because of sunk in water, also defects due to industrial waste are all will not entertain in warranty claim settlement.
  • Warranty of consumable parts are not acceptable like Tires, control cables, element air cleaner, brake shoes, brake pad, clutch system, spark plug etc.
  • Warranty claim will not entertained of those parts which are damaged because of dropping of battery distilled water due to filling in battery above the battery level.
  • The warranty claim of those tyre or tube will not acceptable which have cut-marks or puncture by striking any sharp thing or rim found dented or out of alignment.
  • Warranty claim of those motorcycles are not acceptable which are using Non-Genuine Parts and Engine Oil during periodic maintenance.
  • Those warranty claim will not treat or settle which have defects due to changes or alteration in motorcycles by customers like attachment of extra electrical equipment in wiring of motorcycles or attachment of additional parts like Silencer, handle, lights etc.
  • Those Warranty claim of motorcycles will not entertained which having defects and damages due to any road accident or disaster.
  • Those Warranty claim will not entertain which having defects due to non-replacement or not cleaning of periodic maintenance parts like (Engine Oil, Element Air Cleaner, Spark Plug, Drive Chain, Brake Shoe, Brake Pad, Clutch Plates, Centrifugal Oil Filter etc.,) as per periodic maintenance schedule.
  • If Non-genuine parts and Oil are used in motorcycle as well as Periodic Maintenance or any repair work were not done at Yamaha Authorized Dealers then Warranty Claim with not entertain of those motorcycles.
  • No any Warranty Claim settlement of imaginary things (like Noise, vibration and temperature) which are not effecting on the quality and performance of motorcycles.
  • Those motorcycles will not entertain for Warranty Claim settlement which are continuesly riding at high speed and used for loading purpose, for racing purpose & in Taxi.
  • Those motorcycles will not entertain for Warranty Claim settlement which are stored and transported in sub-standard way.
  • It’s mandatory to bring complete motorcycle at warranty shop for settlement of any warranty claim, only bring or showing defective parts will not enough for warranty claim settlement.

Note:

  • Carburetor and Muffler Assy are not a part of Engine Assy.
  • Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Ltd should be owner of every replaced part in warranty claim settlement.
  • Only Yamaha Authorized dealer have rights to settle the warranty claim of Yamaha Motorcycles.
  • Only Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited have full & final rights to approve Warranty claim of any Yamaha motorcycle which will not apply any legal action.
  • Warranty claim will entertain only for replacement or repairing of defective parts.
