The year 2025 marks a major milestone: 70 years of Yamaha Motors. This journey has never just been about machines, but about Kando; the deep, emotional connection that forms every time a rider and their Yamaha hit the road.
This Yamaha Day, riders across generations revisited that feeling; the same thrill, the same freedom – that has always brought them closer to what matters most.

This Year’s Theme: Bridging Old and New Through Kando Actions
For over seven decades, Yamaha has been part of millions of stories. This year’s Yamaha Day theme “Bridging Old and New Through Kando Actions”, celebrated how those stories continue to evolve. From first rides to daily commutes and weekend getaways, the connection stays. The campaign brought together memories of the past with experiences of today, reminding riders that no matter the era, the Yamaha spirit never fades.
What Hasn’t Changed in 70 Years
Riders have evolved and the roads have expanded, cities have grown too, but one thing has stayed the same the feeling of riding a Yamaha; the thrill, sense of control, what we describe as Kando.
Through every generation, Yamaha has remained a companion in movement and meaning. This year’s campaign brought that feeling back to the surface, reminding every rider that while the world may change, the connection to a Yamaha always feels familiar.
One Machine. Millions of Moments.
Riders shared what Kando means to them; through posts, videos, and personal stories. From city traffic to winding hills, it’s not just about reaching the destination; it’s the throttle, the turns, the companionship, the comfort and the confidence which made each moment special.
Glimpses from the Day
To mark the occasion, a small gathering of Yamaha riders was hosted on July 1st, celebrating the bond that connects every Yamaha enthusiast. It wasn’t about the scale but was about the spirit. Whether parked side by side or riding in unison, it was a reminder that passion on two wheels always brings people together.
Community Engagement Throughout the Month
The 70th Yamaha Day campaign featured a range of rider-first initiatives and content:
• Tribute videos that paid homage to iconic Yamaha moments
• Instagram grid stories capturing the evolution of riders and cities
• Retro Poster Challenge, where riders reimagined their Yamaha bikes in vintage, AI-generated styles
• UGC shout-outs, reposting real voices from the Yamaha community
• “70 Words, 1 Yamaha”, a wrap-up tribute with 70 rider-submitted words that defined their journeys
While it honored the past, the campaign also paved the way for fresh stories and moments that continue to add so much more to every ride.
